Accolades have poured in for Professor Ransford Edward Gyampo, a distinguished academician and prominent figure in the field of Political Science, following his resounding victory in the recent University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) election. The accomplished scholar, who serves as a Professor of Political Science at the esteemed University of Ghana, has been elected as the President of UTAG’s University of Ghana branch.

In a remarkable display of confidence from his colleagues, Professor Gyampo secured an impressive 93.3 percent of the total votes cast during the election held on August 15th, 2023. This decisive victory solidifies his position as a respected leader within the academic community.

Prior to assuming the role of President, Professor Gyampo held the distinguished position of General Secretary within the UTAG-UG Chapter, a testament to his commitment and dedication to the association’s goals and values. In his acceptance speech, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his fellow lecturers for their unwavering belief in his abilities and extended his appreciation to the students who offered steadfast support throughout his campaign.
