Prominent Ghanaian media figure, KOD, has shared the reasons behind his departure from the EIB Network, shedding light on a tumultuous chapter in his career. In an exclusive interview with Roselyn on Prime Morning, KOD revealed that his exit from the network was fueled by a disheartening six-month period of working without compensation, a predicament faced by numerous colleagues.

The saga unfolded last year when EIB Network employees, grappling with a dire financial situation, staged a courageous protest after enduring an astonishing nine months without receiving their rightful salaries.

The protest, which took place on July 4, 2022, resulted in the suspension of several employees, as reported by media personality NYDJ.

According to NYDJ’s account, aggrieved workers at EIB Accra had previously voiced their concerns to higher-ups but were met with inaction. Despite their dedication, they returned to work empty-handed the next day, highlighting the deep-seated issues within the network.

The EIB Network, once a hub for media luminaries, now finds itself in a different narrative as numerous TV and radio personalities, who were once synonymous with the network, have departed in search of more stable opportunities. Among these notable figures are faces and voices that once graced EIB’s media outlets, alluding to a significant shift in the media landscape.

KOD’s departure serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges faced by media professionals and the need for fair treatment in the industry.
