Renowned Ghanaian musician and radio host, Blakk Rasta, has strongly criticized former Trade Minister, Alan Kyeremanten, in light of his recent resignation from the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Kyeremanten cited irregularities during the party’s super delegate conference as the reason for his departure and declared his intention to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential election, under the banner of the ‘Movement for Change’ party.

Blakk Rasta did not mince words in his assessment of Kyeremanten, branding him a “coward” and a “failure” for his perceived inability to challenge the NPP’s leadership during his tenure. The musician accused Kyeremanten of silently observing alleged corruption within the party, including the passing of the controversial E-levy, without taking a stand.

Blakk Rasta questioned Kyeremanten’s chances as an independent candidate, given his inability to secure significant victories within his own party. He further criticized the NPP for what he perceived as a culture of intimidation and violence.

The musician’s scathing remarks underscore the growing tensions within the political landscape in Ghana, as Alan Kyeremanten embarks on a new chapter in his political career as an independent candidate.
