Amazing students, academics and experts from the science industry will come together for the 2024 Empower STEM workshop slated today, Monday, 8th April, 2024.

The transformative event which is being organized by Empower Playgrounds in collaboration with the Ghana Science  Association and the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Ghana, with support from ‘Me Boafo’ Foundation would see over 200 final year students (2024 BECE candidates) from ten schools in the Eastern and Greater Accra regions.

The workshop which comes off today is geared towards providing basic STEM backgrounds as well as motivating students to enroll in related fields.

Mr. Isaac Darko-Mensah, the country director for Empower Playgrounds in an interview with AccraDailyPost reiterated the need for the opportunity driven workshop.

He indicated that experts will share their experiences with the participants and opportunities in the STEM fields will be discussed among other vital issues.

He, however, mentioned that the Basic Education Certificate Examination is a crucial step for all Ghanaian students. Hence, should be given critical thoughts.

“Basic Education Certificate Examination is a crucial initial exam for all Ghanaian students enrolled in basic schools; without passing Basic Education Certificate Examination, further education will not be feasible.” Isaac Darko-Mensah stated.

Isaac Darko-Mensah also expressed gratitude to all dignitaries and guest speakers who would be gracing the worthy occasion.
