Ghana’s Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea will serve as Video Assistant Referee for the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League semifinal 1st leg clash between TP Mazembe of DR. Congo and record holders Al Ahly of Egypt.
Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea – is a listed international referee for CAF and FIFA since 2014 and one of the top referees in Ghana.
The 36-year old is in company of Pacifique Ndabihawenimana – Referee –Burundi, Jerson Emiliano Dos Santos (Assistant Referee I) – Angola, Eric Ayimavo Ayamr Ulrich (Assistant Referee II) – Benin and Djindo Louis Houngnandande (Fourth Official) – Benin.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has also appointed Michel Gasingwa from Rwanda as Match Commissioner, Latré-Kayi Edzona Lawson-Hogban – Referee Assessor – Togo, Helly Zafinimanga from Madagascar – General Coordinator, Christian Ndoua Zie – Security Officer – Cameroon and Salima Rhadia Mukansanga – Assistant VAR Rwanda.
The nerve-wracking encounter is scheduled for Stade TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi-on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 15H00.
