Ghana forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will wear the number seven jersey at Leicester City in the upcoming season.

The 20-year-old secured a permanent switch to the Foxes after an outstanding campaign last season with the Premier League returnees.

Issahaku signed a five-deal and was unveiled by the club on July 16, 2024. He becomes the club’s latest signing in the summer transfer window.

“I feel amazing. It’s so good to be back and I’m just back to focus again for next season. I feel so much motivation to be in the Premier League. It’s something new to me. I’m going to go hard for that, with the team. I can’t wait to see [my team-mates]. I’ve missed them so much. They are like a family now. I didn’t think I’d miss some of them, but when I went away, I was really missing them! I can’t wait to see them,’ said Issahaku.

The winger will officially wear the number 7 jersey after dropping the 18 shirt he wore while on loan from Sporting Lisbon last season.

The talented forward has joined his teammates for pre-season as preparations continue ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Leicester have lined up friendlies against Shrewsbury Town, Italian outfit Palermo, Augsburg of Germany and RC Lens of France.
