Ghanaian stand-up comedian, Khemikal, and celebrated female poet, AkuviThePoet, brought their unique talents to the Rotary Club of Accra-Kanda’s official handing over ceremony, leaving members in stitches and awe.

The event, held at the Maxlot hotel in Accra on Friday, July 19th, 2024, saw Rotarian President Isaac Darko-Mensah take over the presidency baton from IPP Antwiwaa-Asante.

Khemikal, known for his clever wordplay and hilarious anecdotes, had the audience laughing and enjoying their evening, while AkuviThePoet’s powerful poetry captured the tireless efforts of the Rotary Club of Accra-Kanda.

Both artists used their platforms to advocate for the important work of Rotary Clubs worldwide, highlighting their efforts to make a positive impact in communities across the globe.

The Rotary Club of Accra-Kanda, a chapter of Rotary International, is a service-oriented organization dedicated to providing humanitarian services, encouraging high ethical standards, and building goodwill and peace in the world.

The handing over ceremony marked a significant milestone for the Rotary Club of Accra-Kanda, as Rotarian President Isaac Darko-Mensah took the reins, promising to continue the club’s excellent work in the community. 

With Khemikal’s humor, AkuviThePoet’s powerful words, and the club’s commitment to service, the evening was a resounding success.
