The maiden edition of the Mamprobi Adesawe, which took place on Friday, 16th August 2024, came to a close on a high note, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of attendees.
The Adesawe, a brainchild of the Mamprobi Community Council, was organized by the Mamprobi Assembly member, Hon. Meshach Mensah Srodah, with support from Felix Ankrah (NIITECH PRINTS).
The event which formed part of the ‘Homowo’ festivals aimed to promote unity, showcase cultural heritage, and foster development within the community.
The night featured a rich tapestry of traditional music, dance, and art and storytelling, highlighting the diversity and richness of Ghanaian culture. The night’s festivities kicked off with a grand procession led by the paramount chief of Mamprobi, Nii Ashaley Asuku II, accompanied by his sub-chiefs.
Nii Ashaley Asuku II, the Mamprobi mantse, expressed his gratitude to the community, sponsors, and organizers.
“I am overwhelmed with joy to see our community come together in such a beautiful way. Let us continue to prioritize education, for it is the key to unlocking the full potential of our children and securing a brighter future for our community.” He said.
Hon. Meshach Mensah Srodah, the Assembly member, also expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am thankful for the support and enthusiasm shown by our community. Together, we have laid a strong foundation for an annual celebration that will continue to promote unity, culture, and development in Mamprobi and beyond. Let us continue to work together to build a prosperous future for our community.”
The event which has set the stage for an annual celebration of promoting unity, culture, and development in Mamprobi also witnessed in depth discussions on improving healthy lifestyles among communities in Mamprobi.
In attendance were top traditional and political leaders as well as community leaders and children.
