Ghanaian US-based Tennis player Herman Abban and his Herman Abban Foundation have donated some items to 300 pupils in one of the community’s primary schools in Cape Coast.

The event which took place last weekend saw items including learning materials and tennis equipment donated as well as mentorship sessions being held.

The Herman Abban Foundation (HAF) was set up in 2019 to support the young and needy in society by providing them with educational materials, mentorship and tennis equipment. Over the years, the foundation has been involved in one philanthropic event from another.

According to Herman, “I have been blessed with two master’s degrees, and tennis paved the way for me, and I understand the importance of education, and I just wanted to bless the kids with school supplies and I’m building them a playground as well.

“I want them to have a good reason to keep pushing forward because education can’t be taken away from them.” He said.

The Herman Abban Foundation’s work is a testament to the transformative power of sports and education. By providing school supplies, mentorship, and building a playground for the children in Cape Coast, the foundation is not just offering immediate support, but also fostering long-term growth opportunities.

Herman Abban’s commitment to ensuring that education remains a priority is a reflection of his belief in its transformative potential, serving as an inspiration to many. Through such initiatives, the foundation continues to uplift the next generation, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, education, and community.
