With just days to go before the city of Hurghada in Egypt plays host to the sixth edition of the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, the countdown has officially begun for the much-anticipated continental showpiece.

Eight (8) African nations will be vying for the continental crown that will be accompanied by a ticket to Africa’s first ever FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles next year for the winners, who will also be joined by the runners-up to make up the trio of African nations at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025.

Two groups of four will officially battle it out on the beach shores of Hurghada between 19 – 26 October in what is perfectly poised to be an exciting two-weeks of beach football.

The opening day sees Morocco officially getting the tournament underway with an exciting Group A clash against tournament debutants, Tanzania before the hosts and last edition’s runners up, Egypt face off against Ghana who last made an appearance at the tournament in 2016.  

The reigning champions, Senegal who are aiming for a record fifth title officially open proceedings in Group B on the following day with a clash against another tournament debutant, Mauritania.

Later in the afternoon, Mozambique who are aiming at going beyond their second-place finish from 2021 face Malawi who make a second return to tournament following their 2022 Mozambique debut.
