The 4th annual National Muslim Conference  commenced in Accra on Friday, and former President John Dramani Mahama is set to grace the final day of the event on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

The conference, which started on Friday, October 25, 2024, is focused on bridging the gaps in national healthcare delivery in Ghana, with the theme “Bridging The Caps in National Healthcare Delivery in Ghana – The Role of the National Muslim Conference Ghana”.

As the 2024 flag bearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mahama’s keynote address is highly anticipated. Before his address, Naa Alhaji Alhassan Andani, a member of the NMCG governing body, will share the chairman’s remarks. The conference will also feature a plenary session on the action plan for implementing the draft strategy, review and approval of the draft conference communique, and a presentation of the report on the Ghana Muslim manifesto.

The National Muslim Conference aims to present an action plan for implementing the draft strategy, Review and approve the draft conference communique, present a report on the Ghana Muslim manifesto and introduce committees for the implementation of the NMCG Health Strategy.

The National Chief Imam and chairperson of the governing body of the NMCG will chair the function, ensuring the success of the conference.

Mahama has been actively engaging with various groups and communities, sharing his vision and proposals for Ghana’s development. Recently, he campaigned in the Greater Accra Region, outlining his plans for a 24-hour economy, investments in agriculture, manufacturing, and the creative economy ².

As a seasoned leader, Mahama’s presence at the National Muslim Conference is expected to bring valuable insights and inspiration to the attendees.
