Shatta Wale claims his ex-manager Bullgod leaked the GOG album tracklist, derailing a $4 million record deal tied to the project.
Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has accused his former manager, Bullgod, of leaking the tracklist for his much-anticipated Gift of God (GOG) album, allegedly causing the cancellation of a $4 million record deal.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM, Shatta Wale revealed that the album was set to feature high-profile international artistes and was tied to a lucrative record label deal with a comprehensive distribution strategy. However, he claimed the leak prompted the label to pull out of the agreement.
“I had a deal with a record label that wanted to give me $4 million. After Bullgod leaked the tracklist, they called me, and the deal was cancelled,” Shatta Wale recounted. “It was like three days before the money was supposed to hit my account. I was hurt because it was my own former manager who sabotaged me.”
Shatta Wale alleged that Bullgod’s actions stemmed from personal grievances following their professional fallout. The feud between the two has been public, with Bullgod previously sharing details of the GOG album in a controversial Facebook post.
In the post, Bullgod mentioned artistes like John Legend, Stefflon Don, Vybz Kartel, and Popcaan as collaborators on the album. While framed as an effort to excite fans, the revelations reportedly undermined Shatta Wale’s rollout plans and strained his relationship with the record label.
The Gift of God album has been plagued by delays, and Shatta Wale’s latest allegations highlight how internal disputes can have significant financial and professional consequences. As fans await updates on the album’s release, all eyes are now on Bullgod for a potential response to the claims.
