The Ride Afrique Cycling Project has been making waves in Ghana and Africa, promoting cycling excellence and nurturing talented cyclists.
The project’s impact was recently highlighted when Emmanuel Sesi, 20, of the Royal Stars Cycling Club, the winner of the 2024 Ride Afrique Accra Criterium, was crowned the 2024 Cyclist of the Year by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) at an event held on Friday, January 24, 2025.
The recognition of Emmanuel Sesi as the 2024 SWAG Cyclist of the Year is a significant milestone for the Ride Afrique Cycling Project.
The Ride Afrique Cycling Project, managed by Mr. Richard Agu, has been instrumental in promoting cycling as a sport and providing a platform for cyclists to showcase their skills. The project’s success can be attributed to its commitment to promoting cycling excellence and providing opportunities for cyclists to compete at the highest level.

The 2025 edition of the Ride Afrique Accra Criterium has been scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
