Kumasi Asante Kotoko is set to get a new astro turf as Blaze Investment commences construction of a synthetic pitch at Adako Jachie. The club’s complex will now house three pitches, two natural grass and one synthetic pitch.

The project, being constructed by Blaze Investment and financed by Ghana Gas, features a 70×108 FIFA Standard premium quality pitch, floodlights, changing rooms, and spectator stands with a 1,000 seating capacity.

This development comes at an opportune time, as several Premier League clubs play on artificial turfs. The club’s management, led by Nana Apinkrah, chairman of the Interim Management Committee, believes the facility will be a significant boost, enabling the team to better prepare for games on synthetic pitches.

According to Alhaji Salifu Sinkare, contractor and CEO of Blaze Investment, the project will be completed within six months.
