In a commanding performance under the night lights of El-Wak  Sports Stadium, Spintex Knights delivered a basketball masterclass, securing a resounding 88-57 victory over Basketbal School Acedemy. The win, driven by teamwork and disciplined play, was a testament to the Knights’ growing chemistry and evolving game philosophy.

Speaking after the game, Head Coach Salorm reflected on the team’s approach and the lessons drawn from a previous encounter with the Coldstore side. “Coming into this game, our main goal was to move the ball better, stay disciplined on defense, and remain mentally locked in for all four quarters,” said Coach Salorm. “We focused on playing as a group rather than relying on individual brilliance, and I think we executed that well.”

The Knights’ ball movement and defensive cohesion were apparent throughout the contest, particularly in the crucial moments when the game demanded composure. Despite a valiant effort from the Basketball School Acedemy, who made noticeable defensive adjustments in the second half, the Knights maintained control by adapting swiftly and reading the game with maturity. “They came in prepared and fought hard,” Salorm noted. “We knew they’d bring intensity and try to play in transition, and they did. It was a good test for us, and I’m proud of how the guys adapted.”

With just one game left in the first round, the Spintex Knights remain undefeated a position they are determined to uphold. Yet Coach Salorm is careful not to let the success get to the team’s head. “We’re not getting carried away. There’s still a lot of work to be done,” he emphasized. “We need to improve our transition defense, rebounding, and decision making under pressure. We’ve laid a strong foundation, but we know we’re not at our best yet.”

The coach also hinted at potential tactical tweaks ahead of their next matchup, guided by scouting reports and a commitment to staying true to their identity. “We’ll be looking to finish the first round strong and close it out undefeated. If we stay focused and stick to what makes us who we are, we’ll be fine.

As the Spintex Knights prepare for the final first-round clash, their blend of humility, focus, and strategic depth may just be the secret to a remarkable season.
