The Ablekuma Central constituency in Greater Accra is abuzz with discontent as constituents express regret over voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and are now calling for a rescue mission to salvage the constituency from perceived neglect. Led by Member of Parliament Hon. Abdul-Latif Dan, the constituency is witnessing growing tensions due to the lack of developmental and infrastructural progress.
Residents are voicing their frustrations, citing the absence of significant projects since the tenure of former NPP MP Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey.
“When you come to Ablekuma Central, since the projects of the former NPP MP Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey, there hasn’t been any better project or development in our constituency,” a constituent lamented. The current MP, Hon. Abdul-Latif Dan, is being criticized for allegedly prioritizing personal gain over the constituency’s needs.
These allegations have sparked outrage among constituents, who feel betrayed by their elected representative.
As the constituency grapples with these challenges, some residents are advocating for a change in leadership.
“Let’s choose a better person, even if He/She is an Independent Candidate,” a constituent suggested. This sentiment reflects a growing desire for a leader who will prioritize the constituency’s development and welfare.
