The Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly, led by Hon. Frank Nkansah, the Municipal Chief Executive, together with Hon. Abdul Latif‑Dan, the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, has announced the first distribution of support items for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) under the PWDs Empowerment Programme.
The event has been scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, at the Assembly’s forecourt. This is the first batch of aid for those who have been vetted and approved as beneficiaries. The items include basic necessities and tools that can help beneficiaries become more self‑reliant.
The distribution is part of the Assembly’s promise to practice inclusive governance and to protect vulnerable groups. By giving out essential items, the leaders hope to improve the daily lives of PWDs and to show that no one is left behind in the community.
Hon. Frank Nkansah said the programme reflects the Assembly’s commitment to social protection and empowerment. He added that the collaboration with Hon. Abdul Latif‑Dan shows a united effort to support every resident, especially those who need it most.
The event marks a hopeful start for the PWDs Empowerment Programme in Ablekuma Central. With continued partnership between the Assembly and local leaders, the programme aims to reach more people and bring lasting change to the constituency.
