Two Robbery Attacks Days Before Guinness World Record Attempt.

Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum recently disclosed that she and her husband experienced two robbery attacks just days before she embarked on her journey to break the Guinness World Record in a sing-a-thon. In an interview on GhOne TV, she recounted the traumatic incidents that occurred on Monday and Wednesday preceding her record-breaking attempt.

The singer shared details of the harrowing experiences, revealing that on Monday, robbers attempted to break into their house but were unsuccessful. However, on Wednesday, upon returning home, they discovered that the bandit(s) had gained access, although curiously, nothing valuable was taken.

“They just scattered all our stuff; they didn’t take money or anything valuable; all they took was my husband’s deodorant and spray. There were laptops and money, but they didn’t take them. They just came to mess the place up,” Afua Asantewaa explained.

The two break-ins left Afua Asantewaa and her husband in fear, leading them to seek shelter in a hotel even after the sing-a-thon. Despite the challenging circumstances, she emphasized that the mysterious robbery incidents and other stressors could have derailed her attempt to break the Guinness World Record. Yet, she displayed resilience and determination.

“Anybody who saw me on Thursday would have said that I was stressed out already, but they didn’t know what was happening to me. Because on Wednesday night, we couldn’t sleep in our bedroom; we spent it in the living room. We were scared because our doors and windows were intact, and we don’t know how the person got into our room.”

Afua Asantewaa’s ability to overcome such adversity and pursue her Guinness World Record stands as a testament to her strength and commitment to her passion for singing.
