Some outstanding matches of the ongoing Greater Accra hockey league have been cleared with mixed results.
Army Women’s team was awarded a walkover victory in their match against Police, as Police were unable to field a team. This result grants Army Women a 3-0 win, as per tournament rules.
In the men’s category, GRA emerged victorious over Army with a 3-1 win. The match began with both teams displaying aggressive intent, but GRA’s superior teamwork and tactical prowess eventually paid off.
GRA’s first goal came in the early embers through a beautifully crafted field goal, showcasing their skill and precision. Army responded with a penalty corner conversion leveling the score at 1-1.
However, GRA regained their lead just before halftime with a cleverly executed penalty stroke. The final goal came in the last quarter of the second half as GRA’s dominant performance earned them a well-deserved win.
