Ghanaian Sports Icon to Chair Youth and Sports Sub-Committee
Ghanaian sports legend Asamoah Gyan has been appointed as part of a team tasked with drafting a manifesto for the flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for the 2024 polls. Gyan will serve as the chairman of the Youth and Sports sub-committee, according to a press release signed by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Director of Communications for Bawumia’s campaign team.
The manifesto committee, chaired by Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, will undertake a comprehensive review of the party’s 2016 and 2020 manifestos, engaging stakeholders to develop a pragmatic 2024 manifesto that addresses the socio-economic challenges facing Ghanaians.
