Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Encourages Collaboration and Strategic Policies.
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has advised the newly appointed Finance Minister, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, to swiftly implement strategic policies to tackle the current economic challenges facing Ghana. In a meeting with the Finance Minister, Otumfuo emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Ministry’s staff and urged Dr Adam to consider their insights.
Otumfuo commended the former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, for his efforts in addressing economic difficulties and encouraged Dr Adam to build upon those initiatives for the benefit of all Ghanaians. Expressing confidence in Dr Adam’s ability to lead an economic turnaround, Otumfuo encouraged him to implement effective strategies and measures.
Highlighting the high expectations placed on financial leadership, Otumfuo underscored the President’s trust in the Finance Minister’s capabilities. He urged Dr Adam to continue from where his predecessor left off and to work closely with the Ministry’s staff to achieve their goals.
In response, Finance Minister Dr Mohammed Amin Adam stated that President Akufo-Addo has assigned him the responsibility of overseeing the completion of all stalled infrastructure projects in the Ashanti Region. He acknowledged the challenges faced but expressed determination to ensure that these projects are completed for the benefit of the people.
