The Ashaiman Municipal Assembly, led by Hon. Freeman Tsekpo, has launched a clean-up exercise as part of President John Dramani Mahama’s ongoing national sanitation initiatives.

The exercise, which began on January 21 and will run until January 24, aims to rid the municipality of filth and improve public health.

Hon. Freeman Tsekpo led the exercise, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

Residents, Assembly members, unit committee members, staff, and volunteers came together to desilt drains, clear refuse, and reclaim public spaces. The exercise is part of a broader effort to combat sanitation challenges and improve environmental sustainability in the Greater Accra Region and nationwide.

The initiative aligns with President Mahama’s vision for a cleaner and healthier Ghana. The Ashaiman Municipal Assembly is committed to improving public health and environmental sustainability, and this clean-up exercise is a step in the right direction.
