Woman billed $7,112 for a $7.54 sandwich

Recently, in College Park, Georgia, a routine Subway order turned into a financial rollercoaster for Vera Conner. According to WSBTV, Conner’s regular #4, which typically costs $7.54, somehow transformed into a mind-boggling four figure.

Vera thought she was just ordering her usual #4 from Subway, but little did she know she was about to embark on a culinary journey that cost her more than a flight to Italy! The $7,000+ Subway sub saga began when the tipline mysteriously aligned with her phone number, turning her sandwich into a budget-busting affair.

In an interview, Conner revealed her disbelief, exclaiming, “I could have gone to Italy and got the sandwich.” As she attempts to unravel this financial mystery, the Subway store manager remains tight-lipped, and Conner’s attempts at a resolution resemble a never-ending loop through the drive-thru.

Is it a glitch, or is it the world’s most expensive subway? If it is, I’m not sure a whole lot of us can afford a Subway sandwich.
