Two prominent Ghanaian NGOs, Blessed Care International Foundation (BCIF) and Better Dreams Foundation, joined forces on Thursday, February 20, 2025, to promote and advocate for menstrual health and human rights in Daboya, Northern Region of Ghana.

Both entities stood firm in their mission to empower women and advocate for their right to menstrual health without stigma or setbacks.

“Menstruation is not a choice, and no girl should feel ashamed or miss out on opportunities because of it,” they emphasized.

During this impactful event, the foundation engaged the community in educational conversations on menstrual hygiene and women’s rights, ensuring that young girls understand their worth and potential. As part of the project, the foundation donated menstrual pads—a small but significant step toward breaking the cycle of period poverty.

“Every girl deserves dignity. Every woman deserves the freedom to menstruate without fear or shame. As we continue our journey, we remain committed to reaching the most vulnerable, empowering them, and building a stronger, more inclusive Africa,” stated Mr. Melvin Tackey, CEO of Blessed Care International Foundation.
