On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Blessed Care International Foundation empowered young school girls in Bolgatanga in the Northern Region by donating menstrual pads and educating them about their right to menstrual health without stigma.
The initiative, aimed at ending period poverty, benefited over 100 girls in a public school.
According to Mr. Melvin Nii Tackey, CEO of Blessed Care International Foundation, “We believe that menstruation is not a choice—it’s a natural part of life, and no girl should feel ashamed or miss opportunities because of it.”
“Menstruation should not be a barrier to education or opportunities. Together, we can break the barriers, fight stigma, and create a world where no girl is left behind because of menstruation!” he emphasized.
