Singer Alerts Police Over Actor’s Disturbing Remarks
Ghanaian singer Cina Soul (Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome) called out Kumawood actor Big Akwes on July 1, 2025, for death threats made during a Bryt TV interview. In a “Kiss, Marry, Kill” game, Akwes said he would marry actress Vivian Jill and graphically described killing Cina Soul, sparking fear and public outrage.
In the video, Akwes detailed using a magic mirror to summon and stab Cina Soul, saying he would drink her blood. Shocked, Cina Soul posted on X, tagging Ghana Police and Minister Samuel Nartey George, stating she feels “genuinely threatened.” She urged action against such dangerous rhetoric on TV and radio.

This follows earlier tensions in April 2025, when Akwes body-shamed Cina Soul on Max TV over her outfit in a dance video for her album Did I Lie. His comments drew backlash from stars like Efya and S3fa, with Max TV apologizing. Akwes refused to apologize, escalating the feud.

Cina Soul’s plea has gained support, with fans and X users demanding police action against Akwes and Bryt TV for airing the clip. Some called the remarks intentional, citing past conflicts. The Ghana Police Service has not yet commented, but pressure is mounting for a swift response.
The incident has reignited debates about media responsibility and artist safety. As Cina Soul seeks protection, the public awaits police action to address the threats and ensure such statements are not normalized on Ghanaian airwaves.
