Epiphany Warriors secured a historic treble by defeating Halifax Ladies 3-1 in a penalty shootout in the Greater Accra Football Association’s (GARFA) Women’s Division One Champion of Champions at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Halifax Ladies took the lead in the 44th minute through Rita Doku’s perfectly placed shot. Epiphany Warriors equalized eight minutes into the second half with an exquisite finish from Salma Sai Jibril.

Despite both teams creating decent chances, neither side could convert, leading to a penalty shootout after regulation time. Epiphany Warriors missed their first kick, but Halifax Ladies failed to convert their next three spot kicks. Captain Gifty Acheampong sealed the win for Epiphany Warriors by converting the fifth kick.

This victory marked Epiphany Warriors’ second consecutive GARFA Division 1 champion of champions title and completed a historic treble, including their Division 1 group and GFA Southern Zone Middle League wins.

The team will play in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League in the 2024/25 season and aims to continue their trophy streak in the top flight, having won five trophies in the last two seasons combined.
