Former Assistant Testifies Against Combs in Sex Trafficking Case

A former assistant to Sean “Diddy” Combs, testifying anonymously as “Mia,” told a New York federal court that Combs sexually assaulted her multiple times during her eight-year employment from 2009 to 2017. She described a toxic work environment requiring constant proximity to Combs, who faces charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

Mia alleged Combs was frequently violent, citing incidents where he threw a spaghetti bowl and a computer at her. She also witnessed Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, including a 2013 incident in Los Angeles where he allegedly cut Ventura’s eyebrow. During a Turks and Caicos vacation, Mia and Ventura fled to a beach to escape Combs’ rage, later using a paddleboard to avoid him.

Describing sexual assaults, Mia recounted an incident at Combs’ 40th birthday in 2009 at the Plaza Hotel, where he kissed her and touched her inappropriately after giving her vodka shots. Another assault occurred in 2009–2010 at his Los Angeles home, where she awoke to Combs raping her. Mia testified that fear of Combs’ power and threats, including potential retaliation against her friendship with Ventura, prevented her from reporting the abuse.

Mia stated she did not report the incidents due to Combs’ perceived authority over law enforcement and the firing of another assistant who reported his violence. She testified to uphold “the whole truth,” despite the shame of the assaults. Combs’ defense team, yet to cross-examine Mia, has denied all allegations, asserting consensual interactions and no criminal activity.

The trial, which began on May 5, 2025, in Manhattan, continues with Mia’s testimony scheduled to resume on May 30. Prosecutors allege Combs ran a criminal enterprise involving coerced “freak off” sex performances, while the defense argues his actions were part of consensual relationships. The case, expected to last eight weeks, includes testimony from Ventura and other witnesses.
