Wasa Amenfi Farmer in Custody for Allegedly Killing His Son for Ritual Purposes
Police in the Wassa Amenfi District of the Western Region have arrested a farmer, Abdul Salam, for allegedly murdering his six-year-old son in a suspected ritual killing.
The child had been reported missing in the community, but police investigations revealed that his father had already committed the crime. Residents were initially unaware of the act.
According to reports, Salam allegedly severed the boy’s head and legs, hiding them in a nearby bush. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed to attempting to use the body parts for money rituals.
Police in Asankragua described the case as “deeply disturbing,” highlighting the shocking nature of the crime and the vulnerability of the young victim.
The suspect is currently in custody while investigations continue. Authorities say further details will be made available as the case progresses.
