Ghana’s presence in continental hockey continues to grow as five officials have been appointed to serve at the 12th Men’s and 9th Women’s editions of the Hockey Africa Cup of Nations, slated for 11th–18th October 2025 at the Suez Canal Authority Hockey Stadium in Ismailia, Egypt.
Leading the Ghanaian contingent is Ms. Elizabeth King, Treasurer of the African Hockey Federation (AfHF), who will act as Coordinator for the tournament. She is joined by Mr. Frank Oti-Mensah (Technical Delegate for Men), Mr. Kwabena Asante (Technical Official), and from the umpires’ side, Ms. Evelyn Fiador and Mr. Aziz Adimah.

Their selection not only highlights Ghana’s rising profile in African hockey but also reinforces the country’s reputation for producing top-class officials and administrators.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will feature Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia in the men’s category, while the women’s competition will see Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa battle for continental glory.

Ghana’s strong representation at the technical level is expected to further enhance the nation’s profile in African hockey and inspire more officials to pursue excellence in the sport.
