L/cpl Musah Mariama, a member of the Ghana Armed Forces athletics team, has successfully completed a 5-Day intensive Basic Coaching Course in Athletics. The course, which took place in Winneba from November 25-29, 2024, was organized by the Ghana Athletics in collaboration with the National Sports College.

The course brought together over 30 participants, including Musah, who distinguished herself throughout the program. The participants benefited from a comprehensive curriculum that covered both practical and theoretical topics, including coaching philosophy, growth and development, talent identification, and athlete management.

Mariama Musah expressed her gratitude to her leaders and senior coaches at the Ghana Armed Forces for the opportunity to undergo the course. She noted that the course had significantly enhanced her knowledge of basic coaching techniques, particularly in talent identification and athlete management.

“The course has been an eye-opener for me, and I’m grateful for the experience,” Musah said. “I’m now more confident in my ability to identify and nurture young talent, and I’m looking forward to applying my new skills in my coaching career.” She said.

The completion of the Basic Coaching Course in Athletics is a significant milestone for L/cpl Musah Mariama, and it demonstrates her commitment to developing her coaching skills.

As a member of the Ghana Armed Forces athletics team, Musah’s newfound knowledge and expertise will undoubtedly benefit her team and contribute to the growth of athletics in Ghana.
