The Ghana Athletics Association has announced its squad for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, featuring athletes in both track and field and swimming disciplines.

The team includes Benjamin Azamati, Abdul-Rasheed Saminu, Joseph Paul Amoah, Isaac Botsio, Fuseini Ibrahim, Rose Yeboah, Joselle Mensah, and Harry Stacey.

Benjamin Azamati and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games through the World Athletics Ranking System, with the qualification period ending on June 30. Azamati will be attending his second Olympic Games, having competed in Tokyo 2021, while Abdul-Rasheed Saminu will make his Olympic debut, competing in the 200m event through the entry standard.

Edwin Gadayi, the 2024 GNPC Fastest Human, will join 200m African Games Gold Medalist Joseph Paul Amoah and Isaac Botsio for the 4×100 meters relay.

Rose Yeboah, the 13th African Games Gold Medalist, will compete in individual events as the only Ghanaian in the high jump.

In swimming, Ghana will be represented by Joselle Mensah in the 50 meters freestyle and Harry Stacey in the 100 meters freestyle.

The track and field events at the Paris Olympic Games will take place from August 1 to 11, 2024. Team Ghana will depart for Strasbourg on July 6 for a two-week intensive training camp before moving to the Olympic Village in Paris later in July.
