The Ghana Chess Association has taken a significant step towards its upcoming elections with the formation of an Election Committee. The announcement was made during the association’s congress held on Saturday, January 24, 2026. 

The committee, tasked with overseeing the electoral process, is comprised of five members: Ambrose Amexo as Chairman, and Maud Benson, Daniel Smart Frimpong, Dzidzor Dotse, and Dimple Singh as members.

The Election Committee’s primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth and transparent election process, leading up to the polls scheduled for February 21, 2026. 

This move demonstrates the Ghana Chess Association’s commitment to democratic governance and its dedication to the development of chess in the country.
