The Ghana Deaf Football Federation is set to host the 4th edition of its highly anticipated Deaf Football Gala, scheduled to take place on September 12th and 13th, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The tournament will bring together 16 top clubs from across the country, including teams from Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Koforidua, Volta, and Accra.

The event promises to be an exhilarating display of skill and talent, as the clubs compete for the top spots and a chance to be selected for the national team.

As part of tournament, first to third-place teams will take home grand cash prizes along with trophies and medals

The prizes don’t stop there, as the fourth and fifth-place teams will also receive cash prizes respectively. Additionally, all participating clubs will receive a certificate of participation and consolation prize.

This generous prize package is a testament to the association’s commitment to promoting and supporting deaf football in Ghana.

The ultimate goal of this tournament is to select and prepare the national team for the upcoming African Cup Championship in Cameroon in April 2026. The African Cup Championship is also a qualifier for the World Cup in 2027, making this tournament a crucial step in Ghana’s journey to international success.

The Ghana Deaf Football Federation is confident that this tournament will help identify the best talent in the country and prepare them for the challenges ahead.

“The federation would like to extend its gratitude to the Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, for his kind support in providing the Accra Sports Stadium for this historic tournament”. The association stated in a brief release.
