High Commissioner Gupta Meets Minister Muntaka in Accra
Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Manish Gupta, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, at the Ministry in Accra. The meeting aimed to strengthen the longstanding bilateral ties between Ghana and India.
Gupta congratulated Muntaka on his appointment and expressed enthusiasm for exploring new areas of cooperation. Discussions focused on enhancing trade relations, economic collaboration, and fostering mutual benefits through capacity-building initiatives and technology transfer.

Muntaka thanked Gupta for the visit and urged support for training programs for the Ministry and its agencies, emphasizing knowledge exchange and technical cooperation. He highlighted the cordial relationship between the two nations, noting the Indian community’s law-abiding and harmonious integration in Ghana.
The Minister underscored opportunities for expanding economic ties, building on the significant trade volume between Ghana and India, which reached $2.87 billion in 2022. Both parties committed to deepening collaboration in the security, economic, and technical fields to advance shared interests.

The visit reflects the growing importance of Ghana-India relations, with a mutual commitment to fostering stronger partnerships. The positive engagement sets the stage for further initiatives to enhance bilateral cooperation and regional stability.
