The new management system is designed to streamline various aspects of the federation’s operations, including the organization of karate events, rapid access to information, and monitoring the performance of karatekas. This innovative platform is expected to have a profound impact on the federation’s overall management, enabling it to achieve its goals more effectively.

President Nathaniel Johnson emphasized the significance of the new system during a media briefing at the signing ceremony. He highlighted its potential to improve accessibility and visibility not only for the Ghana Karate-Do Federation but also for other sporting federations.

He, however, stressed the importance of collaboration between athletes, clubs and coaches to ensure the successful implementation of the system.

Mr. Silas Peprah, the executive director of GIT Ghana limited explained the features, hosting and interface of the yet-to-be launched system.

“So what we have done is categorizing the application into four event phases, we are yet to complete the phase one where we are collecting data of dojos and karatekas within and outside the country onboarded the platform. So this partnership is good. Anyone who is interested will be able to register, see the user agreement and other options among others.

As part of the inclusivity, the executive director revealed strategic measures for parents and kids as well. This, he said, would expand the game.

“The beautiful part of this application is that, parents can actually subscribe to it, so we are taking the karate to a different level, where we are not only targeting adults who find the game interesting but inculcating these into the kids who will develop the interest.” He stated.

He mentioned that, the application would also contribute to the visibility of dojos and facilities across the country.

With this new management system which is yet to be launched, the Ghana Karate-Do federation is poised to take its operations to the next level, enhancing its contribution to the development of karate in Ghana.

The Ghana Karate-Do Federation has a rich history, dating back to its founding in 1997. The federation has been affiliated with the Union of African Karate Federation (UFAK) and the World Karate Federation (WKF).
