Event to Highlight African Fashion Talent

Ghana Menswear Week (GHMW) 2025, scheduled for August 30–31 at the World Trade Centre in Accra, will feature 20 designers and models from Ghana and globally, showcasing innovative menswear collections. Launched in 2016 by House of Fame, GHMW promotes networking among designers, brands, and industry stakeholders.

Founder Nana Mensah announced a partnership with Infinix Mobile, emphasizing the fusion of technology and fashion. The event, expected to draw over 1,500 attendees, aims to elevate Ghana’s menswear market, contributing to the $1.9 billion African fashion industry, with a focus on cultural and modern designs.

Supported by Woodin Ghana, GHOne TV, Starr 103.5 FM, Graphic Showbiz, 3Music TV, Envision Africa, and Nueva Comms, GHMW 2025 will host runway shows, pop-up shops, and panel discussions. The event builds on Ghana’s growing fashion influence, spotlighted by designers like Abrantie The Gentleman.

The platform fosters collaboration, connecting local talent with international buyers and media. Last year’s event generated over GH¢2 million in sales for designers, with 2025 aiming to surpass this through expanded global outreach and digital streaming for a wider audience.

GHMW aligns with Ghana’s cultural promotion goals, supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture. The event underscores Accra’s role as a fashion hub, driving economic growth and positioning Ghanaian menswear on the global stage.
