Massive Cash Seizure in Ghana: 12 Containers Found With Hidden Currency
Ghana’s National Security has seized twelve 20-foot shipping containers filled with an undisclosed amount of U.S. dollars and Ghana cedi notes, hidden inside a warehouse in Sapeiman, Ga South Municipality.

The operation, launched after a tip-off, led security operatives to a warehouse where they discovered bundles of U.S. dollars hidden in wooden boxes filled with cement. Additional hidden compartments barricaded with plywood and sealed with charcoal contained even more cash.

Authorities have confirmed that two more containers remain unaccounted for, with state security trackers actively searching for them.
Ongoing Manhunt and Other Findings
A manhunt is currently underway for four suspects, including a ringleader known only as Alhaji.
Further investigations at the warehouse revealed even more shocking discoveries, including:
- Boxes of metals suspected to be gold bars
- Counterfeit Ghana cedi notes in ₵50 and ₵100 denominations
- Fake Ghana Army uniforms and boots
