The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has pledged its support to empower breast cancer victims in Ghana. This commitment was made known during a breast cancer screening and awareness exercise held at the Authority’s head office in Accra on Tuesday, 21st October, 2025.

The GTA’s commitment to this cause is a shining example of corporate social responsibility and a testament to the organization’s dedication to making a positive impact in Ghana.

During the event, a breast cancer survivor, affectionately known as Auntie Comfort, a former staff and patron to the ladies club of GTA shared her inspiring story. Her courage and resilience in the face of adversity served as a testament to the importance of breast cancer awareness and early detection. The Ghana Tourism Authority was moved by Auntie Comfort’s story and pledged to support her, including others.

The GTA’s pledge to support Auntie Comfort and other women affected by cancer is a significant step towards empowering breast cancer victims in Ghana.

According to the CEO, this support will enable the Authority to make a positive impact on the lives of women affected by breast cancer.

“The Ghana Tourism Authority’s initiative is a commendable effort towards promoting breast cancer awareness and supporting those affected by the disease. By partnering with breast cancer survivors like Auntie Comfort, the Authority can help create a supportive community that empowers women to take charge of their health.” She stated.
