Ghanaian professional footballer,. Enoch Adu Kofi says it was a great excitement after winning the Finnish league.

The midfielder played vital roles as captain for his side Ekenäs IF in securing promotion to the top flight division after 90 year’s in the Ykkönen first division.

In an interaction with the media on his arrival at the Kotoka International airport on Friday, 10th November, 2023, the former Black Star midfielder described his stint as a successful one.

Despite few challenges, he mentioned that it propelled him to reach greater heights in his career.

“It all about working hard, when I arrived there I said to myself that I have to win something for my club and make myself proud because it is not easy. When you go there as a big or experience player, everybody is looking up to, so after all this is what we were look for and I am happy to reach that height.” He said.

According to him, the qualification from the first division to the top flight is a huge achievement for his side Ekenäs IF.

“It means a lot to us and the fans. This is what they’ve been looking for. 90 year’s and we’ve been able to get a qualification, I would say it’s very big and we are proud of that.” Enoch Adu Kofi stated.

After successfully playing in major International competitions which includes the UEFA champions league, Europa and sharing playing fields with the likes of Frank Lampard, John Terry, Cristiano Ronaldo among others, the Ekenäs IF captain, Enoch Adu Kofi is aiming to end his career on a higher note with all the accolades.
