GRA Hockey Club kicked off the second round of the 2025 Salphoda Hockey League in dominant form on Saturday, July 2nd, at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Pitch, securing emphatic wins in both the men’s and women’s divisions.

In the early hours of Saturday, GRA Men made a strong statement with a commanding 4-0 win over Arkmen. Ibrahim set the tone with a field goal in the 12th minute, followed by a clinical finish from Matthew Damalie just before halftime. The third quarter saw Luke Damalie convert a well-executed penalty corner, and Prince Adjetey wrapped up the scoreline in the final quarter with another field goal.

The win propels GRA Men back into title contention with 15 points.Later in the day, GRA Ladies continued their title chase with a dominant 6-0 thrashing of the Reformers. Despite a goalless first half, the ladies came back from the break with renewed energy and tactical discipline.

Ernestina Coffie broke the deadlock in the 44th minute, swiftly followed by Gifty Addae’s goal just a minute later. Star forward Elizabeth Opoku, who missed the first round, made a memorable return by netting four consecutive field goals to seal the game. GRA Ladies now sit comfortably atop the league standings with 18 points.

With both teams showing form and focus, GRA’s campaign in the second round is off to a flying start, reigniting hopes for a double league triumph.
