The Ghana Revenue Authority’s men’s Basketball team, Braves, secured bronze at the 2025 Senior Men’s and Women’s Solidarity Tournament in Benin.

The tournament which took place at stade du Gbegamey in Cotonou, from 25 to 30 August, 2025 was aimed at unearthing talents as well as rewarding basketball excellence across Africa.

Drawn in Pool A alongside hosts AOL of Benin and Energie BBC, the Braves began on a high, thrashing AOL 77-47 before edging Energie 74-69 in a thrilling contest.

Their fine run was halted in the semifinals by Energie BBC, a Benin professional league side, who handed the Braves a narrow 62-55 defeat. That result pushed the Ghanaian side into the 3rd and 4th place playoff.

At the time of the tournament, Braves sat 3rd in the Accra Basketball League standings with 28 points, 12 wins, and 4 losses from 16 games.

The GRA side, however, showed resilience in the bronze medal clash, defeating AOL once again with a convincing 75-55 scoreline to secure a place on the podium. Braves capped their campaign by proudly receiving the bronze trophy, cash prize and certificate.
