Omaboe emphasized that while she welcomes the gesture, she is not pushing for it, stating, “If it is done, fine, but I am not forcing anyone.” Known for her roles in the iconic drama series “Obra” and her storytelling program “By the Fireside,” Maame Dokono has been a household name in Ghana for over five decades.

Aside from her acting career, she is also recognized for her humanitarian efforts, having founded the Peace and Love Orphanage. As she celebrates her 80th year, Omaboe plans to release a memoir covering her public and private life.

The proposed statue would serve as a tribute to Omaboe’s immense contributions to Ghana’s entertainment industry and her impact on society.
