The highly anticipated Table Tennis event dubbed, “GTTA Masters, Seniors and Celebs challenge”, is set to spin off on Friday, 4th August, 2023 at the Trust sports Emporium in Accra.

The event being organized by the Ghana Table Tennis Association led by the president Mawuko Afadzinu is expected to experience friendly competitions, entertainment, and opportunities for networking among former and current players, cooperate individuals as well as enthusiasts.

In an exclusive interview with Accra Daily Post, the Treasurer who doubles as the Competition Manager, William Berekorang Asare stated.

“The purpose of this challenge is to bring together Table Tennis enthusiasts of all skill levels and ages for a day of friendly competition and enjoyment. Whether you are a seasoned player or just starting out, this event offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills, learn from others, and connect with fellow table tennis enthusiasts.

He continued… “this event will not only provide a platform for friendly competition but also foster a sense of camaraderie and community among table tennis enthusiasts. Your participation will contribute to the success of this event and help us create a memorable experience for everyone involved. We are excited to witness your skills on the table and provide you with an enjoyable and memorable experience”, he said.

According to the ITTF certified competition manager, the association has also outlined suitable activities for participants on the big day.

“We have Singles and doubles tournaments for different age groups and skill levels, exhibition matches featuring professional table tennis players, networking opportunities to connect with other players and enthusiasts. Prizes and giveaways for participants would also be available at the event. These are all measures put in place.

The challenge sponsored by the Trust Sports Emporium Limited falls in line with the GTTA’s objectives aimed at promoting the sport across the country.
