In a significant achievement for Ghanaian table tennis, Efua Oforiwah Owusu-Agyei, Women’s Coordinator at the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), has been certified by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) as a temporal Regional Competition Manager in progress. This prestigious certification follows her successful completion of the regional competition manager online exams on December 21, 2024.

The online certification exam, conducted and monitored by Omar Refaat Bassyouni of the ITTF Developmental Department, is a testament to Owusu-Agyei’s expertise in the sport. 

As an experienced former player, Owusu-Agyei’s contributions to Ghanaian table tennis extend beyond her playing career. She has played pivotal roles in mentoring and inspiring young and talented girls in the sport, fostering a new generation of table tennis enthusiasts.

Her certification as a Regional Competition Manager is expected to further enhance her impact on the sport, enabling her to organize and manage international competitions to the highest standards.

The Mawuko Afadzinu led administration’s, acquisition of another ITTF-certified official is a significant boost to the association’s credibility and capacity to host international events.

Efua Oforiwah Owusu-Agyei’s certification highlights the GTTA’s commitment to developing the skills and expertise of its officials and players, ensuring that Ghanaian table tennis continues to thrive and grow.
