Celebrating the best of Ghanaian music at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre
Here are the highlights of the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) that took place on June 1, 2024, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC):
- Red Carpet Ceremony: The evening started with a glamorous red carpet ceremony where artists showcased their fashion sense. - Performances: The event featured electrifying performances from artists like Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Kwabena Kwabena, Eno Baroni, Efya, and Stonebwoy. I believe Epixode had one of the best performances of the night.
- Artiste of the Year: Stonebwoy was the big winner of the night, taking home the Artiste of the Year award along with five other awards, including Songwriter of the Year, Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, and Best International Collaboration.
- King Promise’s Wins: King Promise won three awards, including Most Popular Song of the Year for “Terminator,” Best Afropop Song of the Year, and Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste of the Year.

- Best Gospel Song of the Year: Nacee
- Best Female Vocal Performance: Queendalyn Yurglee
- Best Hiplife/Hiphop Artiste of the Year: Black Sherif
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Amakye Dede was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
- Attendance: The event was attended by numerous Ghanaian musicians and celebrities, adding to the night’s glamour and excitement.
