Bank of Ghana’s Exchequers continued their perfect run in the 2025 Salpholda Hockey League with a commanding 3-0 victory over Legonknights in Week 7.
Kofi Okyere Quagraine set the tone early with a 5th minute goal from their very first penalty corner of the game, giving Exchequers a slim lead that they held onto through the first half. The defending champions sealed their dominance in the final quarter when Ebenezer Nortey converted another penalty corner in the 51st minute to make it 3-0.
In a post-match interview, Exchequers captain Bempah Daniel expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance; “we came today to right our wrongs in our game against Police by taking our chances and making sure that every penalty corner gives us a goal, and that’s what we did.”He said. “we are the defending champions and every team will come hard at us, but we’ll take every game step by step and stick to our game plan, strategies, and teamwork to achieve our targets.” He added.
With three wins out of three matches played, Exchequers have now scored 9 goals and conceded just 3.
