The Ghana Table Tennis Association, GTTA, has earned four slots for a training camp in Egypt, with the Chinese.
The slots awarded by the International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF, is aimed at creating exposure and boosting confidence of young players.
The president of the GTTA, Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu facilitated the initiative at the ongoing Africa championship in Tunisia where the Black Loopers are highly represented.
According to him, the slots will benefit only junior/ youth players.
“Ghana got 2 slots for Juanita Borteye and Blessing Labanti in the female category whiles Israel Aklie and Michael Mensah from Kumasi also going for the other two.
“The Chinese camp in Egypt is for Juniors/Youth, by the way,” he stated.
He, however, used the opportunity to urge corporate entities to support the association and the sport.
