The Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) with support from the International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF, has commenced the 2023 Level 1 coaching course in Accra.

The one week highly recognized both theory and practical course aimed at keeping Ghanaian coaches abreast with the current rules & regulations and developmental aspects of the game attracted 28 coaches across the country and 2 from Senegal.

The course which began on Wednesday, 23rd August at the University of Ghana sports directorate will run through to Sunday, 27th August, 2023.

Ramzi B.H Mabrouk, a certified ITTF coaching level 2 course coordinator took the coaches through the introduction of the game, the 3 developmental landscapes; engage, progress and impact and communication & promotional pages of the ITTF. The participants were also briefed on the members of the ITTF developmental team.

“I like how they are conducting themselves and I can see they are prepared to learn as well. They are very Passionate and interested about the game.” The course coordinator Ramzi B.H Mabrouk told Accra Daily Post.

According to him, the participants will also benefit from resources on the ITTF education platforms as the course progresses.

The Day 1 ended successfully as the participants engaged each other using different strokes and techniques during play.
