The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) is set to make history this October and November 2024 with the launch of the first-ever ITTF World Esports Table Tennis Championships. This groundbreaking event marks a pivotal step forward in the federation’s digital transformation journey, bringing a fresh dynamic to the sport and expanding its reach to new audiences.

Building on the success of Esports Table Tennis as an exhibition sport at the 2023 Olympic Esports Week in Singapore, the ITTF has once again partnered with For Fun Labs, Inc. and their renowned VR game, Eleven Table Tennis, to take Esports Table Tennis to the next level. This event is set to elevate the sport on the global competitive gaming stage, solidifying its place as a key player in the esports community.

The ITTF World Esports Table Tennis Championships will unfold in two thrilling phases designed to attract and engage both Esports enthusiasts and seasoned table tennis players from around the world.

Online Qualifying Stage from 14 October 2024
Starting on 14 October, players worldwide are invited to participate in the Online Qualifying Stage. This open, mixed-gender event promotes equality and diversity, encouraging participation from players of all skill levels. The top two competitors will earn a place in the next stage of the competition. Players can register here to start their journey towards becoming the first-ever ITTF World Esports Table Tennis Champion.

Finals in Helsingborg, Sweden, on 27-28 November 2024
Helsingborg will host the Finals, where eight elite players will compete for the prestigious title. The finalists will include the top two qualifiers from the Online Qualifying Stage, the two top-ranked Eleven Table Tennis players, one representative from the host country, and three wildcard entrants.
